Vrahassi is a gorgeous mountain village close to the route of the National road and within a 15 minute drive of the sea at the neighbouring villages of Milatos and Sissi. It is reputed to have the best air quality on the whole island with fresh cooling breezes even in the height of summer. The village has a few local shops,tavernas and kafeneons, and is close to a bus service to neighbouring towns and the capital Heraklion. The international airport at Heraklion is within a 40 minute drive.
